Accessible Public Transportation - LIVE
Discussion Group - Friday, July 17 at 7 pm EDT

Register for this discussion.
Do you have any access issues with public
transportation where you live? Or when visiting
other communities? This Discussion
Group will be led by CWDO's Chairperson, Terrance
Green. It is intended to brainstorm on current
issues respecting what accessible public
transportation means from a cross-disability
perspective.
The Ontario Human Rights
Commission has filed a complaint against the public
transportation providers in Thunder Bay, Hamilton
and Sudbury to the Human Rights Tribunal Ontario
over the fact that transit providers are not calling
out stops. Push Northwest, Thunder Bay, are
exploring the potential of becoming interveners in
the case, respecting persons with disabilities in
Thunder Bay, as calling out of stops is a barrier to
transportation for persons with various types of
disabilities. CWDO wants to bring persons
with disabilities from across Ontario together to
discuss what is happening in your area regarding
public transportation and access.
