| Citizens With
Disabilities - Ontario (CWDO) actively promotes the
rights, freedoms and responsibilities of persons with
disabilities through community development, social action, and
member support and referral. Our primary activity is
public education and awareness about the social and physical
barriers that prevent the full inclusion of persons with
disabilities in Ontario.

Notice of 2009 AGM and
Call for Nominations
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Citizens With Disabilities - Ontario (CWDO) hosts
its 3rd Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 11,2009 at
7:00 pm. Nominations for the board of CWDO
are open until May 9,
2009.
At the AGM, the Nominating
Committee will propose a slate (list) of Directors
representing various provincial ridings throughout Ontario, a
cross-disability perspective, and diversity from within its
membership. For 2009-10, Directors will be appointed to
fill vacancies. Seven (7) three-year-terms are open for
nominations this year.
If you are a member, you may
nominate yourself or someone else to be on the board.

sure your computer is compatible with our conference rooms,
learn how the IDEAL conferencing system works, and
trouble-shoot any problems you may have.

Critical Disability Studies Annual Conference
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Critical Disability Studies Graduate Students'
Association, cordially invites CWDO members to their upcoming
annual conference hosted by the Association on May 8th-9th,
2009 at York University, Toronto.
The Honourable David
C. Onley, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario as well as Mr.
John Rae, First Vice President of Alliance for Equality of
Blind Canadians, will give a keynote address on May 8th and
